Ummmm.... We had ice ages, they used novescotia as an example, is it possible that it was frozen and no decomposition happened over a long amount of time? Or maybe it was in a valley and rapid sedimentation is plausible without a worldwide flood. Not only that but what would happen if you have a living tree, a normal flood happens, the bottom gets buried, the leaves are still above ground, the tree grows, another flood 50 years later, another 10 feet of the tree is covered, but it still grows.

There have been fish(whales) found like this too. Carbon-dating numbers incorrect due to water-canopy-> highest 100% provable date on a tree: only in the few thousands.
