Full contact bouts with a medium staff (about 130 cm). This weapon is absolutely devastating in terms of power and almost every strike can result in a knock out. And the padding doesn't help :). Enjoy!

  • Cool again :-) You mean manuscripts for jogo de pao? I have one VHS from Luis but dont see manuscrips yet ! I will gou to see you site :-)

  • @davigo Thanks man.

No, I am not aware of any such documents. I am however keenly aware that Jogo do Pau is very effective and very much inspiring. I really like that art and of course I know Luis Pretto and do hope to train with him some day...

  • Hello,

If you don't mind me asking, what are you using as simulators when you spar?

    Thanks

  • @TDH1198

Hello and no I dont mind at all. These are the simulators that my school produces and are extremely similar in their attributes to the real weapons they are simulating. We train with and produce simulators for various weapons, such as knives, machete, Jo, spear and others and we have had a lot of extremely positive feedback about them from students and teachers of Kendo, Arnis, Aikido, Kobudo and others training in weaponry. The weapons deliver a proper impact but never injure.

  • Nice Alex,

I fancy a go with a big stick...

  • @QiKeyMonkey Thank you, Sir, I appreciate the praise. Great to hear from you and we definitely will have a go with them staves, mate , never you worry!

  • Where is your dojo??

  • is that you? in this video?

  • @ACTdirector Thanks for the detailed info. I'm glad to hear you use WMA stuff. We had Luis Preto over on our event last year. And our pole weapon group takes a course of Jogo de Pau to see if it will help them figuring out some of the moves from the manuscripts. Thanks again for this great video.

    /Robert

  • @ACTdirector my spelling was never at its best so lets say both
