I've been riding / racing / commuting for 35 years, and have been a home and shop mechanic for as long.

I love the Nuvinci N360 on my commuting bicycle. It does have a little efficiency loss compared to a derailleur system, but I have no trouble keeping a similar pace to what I would be maintaining on another (conventional) bike.

It is a heavy hub, but the weight is really inconsequential for 95% of the uses out there (5% represents racing or serious training).

about guy that says his derauller skiped few speeds I can say only - calibrate it and clean your bike, maintaining derauler it is simple, it's simple. one a week just dissmantle derrauler, clean him, oil him, calibrate and thats all, it is 30 min of job. so he didnt convince me in buying this, because most of those ppl in video knows nothing about bikes. I need some professional review, so if someone can provide I would be very happy, because I have interest in this. thx

really? I asked one question and get pretty stupid answer. what when it breakes? for example I drive every second day about 160-300km. and what if something happen and I need to repair it and closes servis or repair shop is 70km away and I am stuck in the wood?! How would I repair it? Noone answerd me this. Old deraullers are easy to repair and parts are pretty cheap, so when something breaks you can fix it in no time with your basic tools.

But everybody's had a bike transmission skip gears, not change gears, or have trouble finding the gear you've selected. Falling because of a failed gear change may not be common, but with a cheap bike gear problems happen a lot.
