**** I have a TomTom GPS. The maps for my area are inconsistent with reality since a long time.
So I bought the yearly map update service and I paid for nothing 110$. The famous map update is maybe actual on Mars, because it doesn't provide updates for the major changes (at least) when Google Maps has them from a long time. Thank you TomTom! My next GPS will be a Garmin.

@Unboxerr The Homer voice is something you have to purchase, yes. They call them NavTones and a bunch of characters are available including Darth Vader and Snoop Dog.

@BRishal Sweet deal. Almost a no-brainer.
We just reviewed the TomTom VIA 1435M which has an MSRP of $200. It's got voice control + Bluetooth for hands-free calling, a better windshield mount and some other improvements. Might be worth the upgrade and extra cost. Check the video responses section if you'd like to see that review.
