Kamen Rider Black RX Henshin Belt 仮面ライダーBLACK RX 変身ベルト

I said I would never make a review of a Kamen Rider Henshin Belt...well I lied. Here is my first and most likely only Henshin Belt review: Kamen Rider Black RX DX Rider Henshin Belt! [That's a long title!]

As a follow-up to the Kamen Rider Black Henshin Belt, this belt feature some similarities. The KRB Belt had a motion sensor that reacted to flashes from your Television set while Kotaro transforms into Kamen Rider Black. Here we have a motion sensor that is activated by the wrist piece. Can this be considered a Henshin Brace AND Henshin Belt? I think so! Aside from that, the red Kingstone spins in a motion very similar to the King Stone on the Kamen Rider Black Henshin Belt.

This belt has two modes. One is constant running, the other is the Motion Sensor mode. Two downsides are the lack of paint on the front [It could have atleast been tinted a little] and the loud grinding sound the belt makes [which is something that should be overlooked seeing as the belt is 20 years old and the first Sentai Henshin Brace to make a sound was the Choju Sentai Liveman Twin Brace from earlier in the same year]. Overall a good toy!

1995 brought the first Americanization of a Kamen Rider series, aptly titled "Masked Rider". Masked Rider was a dumbed down version of Black RX with a dumbed down version of the Henshin Belt released in the US market. It was called the "Ecto Accelerator" and it was based off of a cheaper version, Non-Deluxe, version of Black RX's Henshin Belt. While it was released in Japan it was made in smaller numbers and was generally less popular. When a small yellow latch was pressed on the top of the belt, the entire front of the belt opened downward like a trapdoor and made an awful telephone-esque sound. Why didn't Bandai America bring over the Deluxe Henshin Belt? Who cares...I have my Deluxe Belt!
