WOW!!!!

I heard this song at the internment of a spry, fun-loving Cajun man Kullen T. this past weekend. I wasn't kin to this fellow, but when this song was played, you'd have never known. Amazing Grace is still Amazing Grace no matter what language you hear it, but it just seemed more bautiful in French....RIP Monsieur Trahan.

GOTT SEGNE DICH
I am 66 year old woman from Kaplan Louisiana, the heart if Cajun Country. As a young girl I used to go to the Saturday dance with my grandparents. Then the parents & children danced together. I grew up to this music. It is great to see this music kept alive for this new generation. It was a totally different world in the late 50's.

I'm 57 years old and I live in Bayou Pigeon, La. and I must confess it's hard for me to watch this without crying. American's can be very proud of these Cajuns and appreciate them for their importance and symbolism with a culture unmatched anywhere else in the world. These people, their lives and their history are to precious and important to be forgotten. The more I'm around these Cajuns the more I believe they are the happiest people in the world.
