Dance Your Dreams! is a dance program at Merrimack Hall that provides dance education to children who cannot participate in mainstream dance education due to physical, mental or emotional disabilities.
Of our initial 12 students, all but 4 are wheelchair bound and most have multiple diagnosis, including Cerebral Palsy, hearing impairment, language delays and learning disabilities. This program was specially designed by Merrimack Halls dance faculty in consult with physical therapists. Everything is being provided to these students at no cost to them, including dance attire and costuming for performances. Classes are held every Wednesday following the school calendar and our students will be featured in several performances beginning with our Second Annual Evening of Dance to be held January 9 and 10, 2009.
If you would like to consider volunteering your time or making a donation to our program, please visit our website at www.merrimackhall.com or call us at (256) 534-6455.
