Finally made another AMV...this took a while to make because my editor is acting out. I've seen Paprika a while back and I was really impressed with the movie. It explores the world of dreams and what happens when science tries to take away man's last refuge: his dream world. I decided to use "Ataraxia" by Team Sleep, Chino Moreno's (Deftones) other band because its mix of dream pop, shoegaze, electronica really matches the mood of this video and the theme of dreams.
I know the AMV is not perfect since I could never see the previews right but I hope you'll appreciate the effort. There are more AMVs on the way and hopefully better and better ones. Hope you enjoy!
Anime: Paprika

Song: Ataraxia
Froze asleep
Coma deep
I dream I'm not out with you
Alone at sea
And you watched the waves
And you sang to me
As we sink
I dream I'm not out with you
Dropping deep
Below the sea
This dream I had with you
Alone at sea
And we watch the waves
You sing to me
As we sink
This dream I had with you
Alone at sea...

About Paprika (for more info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paprika_%282006_film%29)
Paprika (Japanese: ????, Papurika) is a Japanese animated science fiction film, based on Yasutaka Tsutsui's 1993 novel of the same name, about a female research psychologist who uses a device that permits therapists to help patients by entering their dreams. The film was directed by Satoshi Kon, animated by Madhouse Studios, and produced and distributed by Sony Pictures Entertainment. The music was composed by Susumu Hirasawa, who also composed the soundtrack for Kon's award-winning film, Millennium Actress, and equally lauded television series, Paranoia Agent.
R.I.P Satoshi Kon (October 12, 1963 – August 24, 2010). Yes, the great director Satoshi Kon died five days ago of pancreatic cancer. It is a great loss for the Japanese animation industry and for all of his fans...The film he was working on, Yume Miru Kikai (The Dream machine) will be launched posthumously.

@Vaismann Yeah this is an awesome film! It's trippy even without seeing it high lol It is psychedelic and I like the way the dream sequences are designed. Unfortunately, the director of Paprika, Satoshi Kon recently died...such a brilliant artist! You should check out his other movies, Paranoia Agent, Perfect Blue, Millenium Actress!

Satoshi Kon is my favorite anime director because he comes out with stories that are so mind bending and symbolic/philosophical. And if there's one genre of entertainment I like, it's psychological and mind melting stories

@ChronicallyConfused I agree! I also enjoy a story that makes you think and makes you analyze the world around you. Paprika explored a subject I've always been fascinated with: dreams and them intermingling with reality. And the way Satoshi Kon explored this is so artistic and masterfully-done! Thank you for your comment, and I am sorry for replying so late :-(
