Brothers peace upon all of you, please you are all muslims who say shahada and believe in same Quran. If you have differences please discuss them respectfully; you are supposed to be examples for mankind. Although I agree that touching is not neccessary for conversion yet I can only pray that good accept these shaikhs' great deeds and reviving people by reverting them to Islam. They are sure doing a much better work than myself. Jazakum Allah khayran. May we all be good ambassadors of Islam.

Any time the Prophet took bay'a from a man, he held their hand as a symbol of a sworn oath. Women, from behind a veil, often taking hold of his walking staff, just as we see Shaykh Kabbani often doing. Read the hadiths.

It was only through the Sufi masters or shaykhs that the Mongols accepted Islam. Tariqats like Naqshbandiya and Yasaviyya played a pivotol role in this. Please check history.

1st: I didn't accuse u of being a Wahhabi/Salafi (which are 1 and the same btw), & there is no such thing as being just Muslim, that's bid'a. That's like saying u have no race, ethnicity, or nationality, which would be utterly absurd 2 assert. When taking Shahada, this physical contact is traditional, & in bay'a it is Sunna. These people are doing both, so there is no bid'a involoved. All the classical scholars of the 4 rites were Sunni, so 2 deny Sunni Islam is 2 deny them, now that's bid'a!
