...The sanctuaries in the US rescue mostly ex-pets, retired entertainment and medical research victims. (my word) I am not sure if they have a umbrella group like PASA, but make sure they are accredited in some way before you donate. (to be continued...)

Hello Hoodmonsa, Thanks for your questions, I will try to answer them to the best of my ability. There are sanctuaries which are accredited and then sanctuaries which just call themselves "sanctuaries". The African sanctuaries that are accredited under the umbrella group PASA (Pan African Sanctuary Alliance) adhere to guidelines and best practices. They care for rescued orphans of the illegal bushmeat trade. (to be continued...)

Would an amount of that caliber make a good start for such an endeavor? If so and say there is a large amount of untouched land for such a site is there any groups in the USA working to such ends? I've been trying to educate myself on these topics but ulitmately the information is limited. I've always cared for animals and especially for those that are endangered/abused/neglected and so on but in recent watching 2 tv series really opened my eyes. (Orangutan Island & Escape to Chimp Eden).

I know this is an older post,however forgive my lack of education of this topic but is there anyone that can answer these questions? 1st. Are there any viable places or already places in the USA that can provide a re-introduction and re-habilitation for these animals ? 2nd. Where can funds be donated for such a project and be assured that it reaches the proper personnel ? 3rd. I understand that any amount will help but say someone wanted to make a contribution of around 7 figures..continued..-->
