Stanisław Moniuszko : 3 Fraszki (Epigrams, or Trifles)

Moniuszko (1819-72) was born near Minsk to a Polish family, and is today revered both in Poland (as a father of Polish National opera) and Belarus - the present country of his birth. He was active throughout eastern Europe, Russia and the Baltic states as composer, teacher and conductor. These pieces were published in 1843 in Vilnius - his first published piano works.
