This is me testing the UX180P's Touchscreen in Ubuntu Dapper Drake. What I did was a "cat /dev/input/js0" and touched the screen. Fun!

  • dude how much did that cost? cause i want one

  • oh, sorry... its pretty sensitive to finger touches.. but some icons are a little small at its 1024x600 resolution. Things like Firefox are fine, though... and i have pretty large fingers.

  • No, how does the touch screen function work without the stylus? It's pointless to call it 'touch screen' if you can't actually touch it, aye?

  • it also has a keyboard and mouse

  • that can be done... I have just posted a video of it all working properly, if you're interested.

  • normal things like using the pen like the mouse

this is just showing the debug output of getting movement data

  • ubuntu has an onscreen keyboard for tablet input and can be rotated etc. what were you after?

  • How does it work without the stylus?

  • ok but is there any software for the touchscreen linux thing?

  • haha thats cute, I do love ubuntu, and I dearly hope it gets even simpler to use for newbies. The "just works" isnt actually a true statement. (Though, it is true to the AmigaOS) ;)
