A small documentation video of the cleaning procedure of my KORG Lambda (ES-50).

I kept it quite simple - just a few explanations and comments here and there, because I think that the pictures speak for themselves. I hope you have fun with it! :o)

The music in this video consists of pure and unaltered (apart from the reduced YouTube sound quality) Lambda sounds. Everything was played by hand and recorded in realtime. I used the Lambda's stereo output, went into my mixing concole and from there straight into the PC sound card. No multi-track recording here! The Lambda can produce this sound simultaneously!

Keine Mehrspur-Aufnahmen in diesem Fall! Der Lambda ist in der Lage, diese Klänge simultan von sich zu geben!

  • This is perhaps my favourite of all my favourite youtube videos! And you know what else? I sold my Korg Trident Mk1 and am now intent on buying a Lambda!!! :)

  • @Sjobeck7

Wow! Are you serious? Okay, each to his own, but I won't sell my Trident to buy a Lambda again! And thanks for your nice words! :o)

  • Wow, nice job on cleaning! Did the sound quality change at all from the cleaning? I think I have to pick up one of these synths.

  • @Saibot216

The sound quality has not changed at all. But the feeling whilst playing this machine has enormously changed! You cannot imagine how dirty it FELT before I cleaned it. But the keys have even become a bit more reliable after cleaning the contacts. All in all the days of cleaning this beauty have payed off! It is a synth I will always remember as a very good one. I sold the Lambda, though. Because I have a KORG Trident (and a demo of THIS one is planned for this year).

  • @wwwPepeMusicDE You have a Trident now!? I am so jealous of you. I want one of those SO bad.

  • @Saibot216

Then you'd better not hear my demo when I finally finish it! :o)

I nearly went crazy when I heard the Trident for the first time!

  • Sehr goot video! This is one aspect of synth ownership that is often neglected. I watched from beginning to end nonstop. It inspired me to clean my keyboards now. Danke schoen.

  • Thanks for posting this! Excellent video!

  • @wwwPepeMusicDE I'm gonna listen to it anyways because I love that sound. It just breaks my heart in the best possible way.

  • I so fucking LOVE this sound and music!! Perfect job!!!
