Is NJT a good place to work? Or is it some scam like CSX? Anyway, we asked an NJT engineer if we could ride in the cab. But he said he might get in trouble. I don't blame him, cause' he wants to keep his job.

Hello ... I'm not sure why the engineer gave me permission other than that I quickly filmed the clip and returned to my seat. New Jersey is a very good place to work. What is CSX?

CSX is a freight railroad. They're trying to get rid of train crews, and the instructors at the training center in Atlanta, barely have a year and a half with the railroad.

NJT and LIRR are talking about striking this month. If I were you, I would check online news which in this area is the Star Ledger and Daily Record. Then again, they probably have their own sites. I am not an insider in this industry. Darlene

I don't know if New Jersey Transit is a good place to work. As a rider, I have no information about benefits or how the company is run. I wish I could be of more help. Darlene
