the principle of shomen was actually the same as a straight jab or front kicks, all move in the same direction, straight line, that is y the concept of practicing straight attacks is taught by shomen, to evade all kinds of straight attacks is the same: move to the side and enter opponent's radius(irimi)

Looks ok, but No one attacks you like that in the STREETS,running up to you with a shomen strike lets keep it real.
