Reverse Norwegian Purl. How to knit with the yarn held in front
Apparently, this is basically how to do Portuguese knitting. From Ask a Knitter, This Week in Ravelry, issue 57.

  • Where did you get those knitting needles?!?! :O They look so slick and fast!

  • @AlohaCow Those needles are from Signature Needle Arts. They are the best needles I have ever used (I have the straights, the circs and the dpns)

  • How amazingly simple - I like Norweigan purl, but I find it quite slow (I knit continental and fast), but I can do this stitch quite fast which will certainly speed up my ribbing!

  • @puddytatpurr

Funny how every knitter finds their own way to make the process easier -- and it's never the same as someone else's process!

  • Whew! I'm so glad I'm a Portuguese knitter.

  • Thank you so much for this video it was very helpful!

  • High five! What a great discovery!

  • Hi, I was also wondering the same. Thanks for shareing your sollution to us. You can crap the yarn more easily. Just enter the needle to the loop and pick up the yarn you are holding in your left hand. You don't need to turn the right needle so much!
