Few vehicles of any class have raised as many eyebrows as the Pro Boat® Retrieval Decoy. This watercraft replicates the look and feel of a mallard duck on the water while providing a totally unique and different experience out on the water. Perhaps one of the most unique features of this craft is the included gaff, a smaller version of the duck that is towed behind and provides the ability to tow in a variety of different objects. From a sting of decoys, to downed water fowl or an RC boat that has been left stranded in the middle of the water, the Retrieval Decoy is different than any other craft out there.
As someone who has been known to push the limits when it comes to RC boating, I've flipped a boat or two in my time, blown off a canopy or had a battery die when I was in the middle of a lake. Normally, any of these would require a ride in a full-size boat, or worse, a swim out to retrieve the boat. With the Retrieval Decoy under my wing, so-to-speak, I headed off to Kaufman Lake in Champaign, Illinois to see how this interesting model performed.

  • The "baby" is the wrong color. Drake mallards don't get their color until later in life. Should be a brown color.

  • @waubamikrider I understand, but the reference came from a 9-year old. I actually raised mallards as a kid and they had several ducklings over the years.

  • @danictheman What makes it, it my opinion, "So Gay" is that it looks really plastic and shiny and it actually has a pastel green boat hull base.

It looks really cheep and tacky. I makes me cringe it's so nasty.

Just my "NOOB" opinion, (having only been making RC models for 40 years).

  • @SuperCarcher Its meant to look like a duck for hunters. Its called a decoy duck.....but these guys just say to use it for retrieval

  • LOL I'm not sure I wanna play with that in the bathtub. ROFL

  • @JontyKilpatrick How is that gay??? YouN00B!

  • As a hunter, after you place your decoy duck in position, how do you let go of it?

  • That is so gay

  • Would make an ideal fishing bait boat if wings opened up to drop the hook link & bait. ;-)

  • Will it rescue a down plane in the water?
