I installed Gnome in Ubuntu using Virtual box and the gnome session doesn't look like the one in the video, did I do something wrong?

also is there a way to disable the brightness and audio limiters? so that i can just use the brightness buttons?

@Videotubelord i have a macbook pro 13inch that has brightness buttons on f1 and f2 but in ubuntu they are limited to only increasing to a dimmer possibility than in mac os. Same for audio buttons f11 and f12.
