Barton has the original documents. He is correct. She wants to be right, she just is not.

As is too usual, Faux News and Glenn Beck in particular make stuff up to promote their notions of America as a nation founded on conservative christian principles. The truth meanwhile is pushed under a tide of insistent dogma. The principles of governmental legitimacy from the people themselves (not from God or bloodline), morals arising from the dignity of mankind (not God), and rights inherent in everyone (not just the majority) are shouted down by Faux News.

DEBUNKING CHRISTIAN PSEUDO HISTORY ...is this more appropriately called "anti-Goebbelism?
A well "documented" debunking of the influential an intellectually dishonest Barton's pseudohistory be, a REAL HISTORIAN without an agenda! Don't be a woos, take the time to really listen to this, it's actually important, it shows how a REAL HISTORIAN researches.

@stoltzmans You really think this closely argued discussion of the minutiae of historical documents is something she made up? I take it you've never read any writing by professional historians.
@jayaye21
Jefferson had a Bible with every reference to magic or miracles cut out, he called it "the moral teachings of Jesus Christ", you can pick it up on Amazon, it's unlikely that someone who went to the extraordinary length of cutting out every reference to anything super natural in his new testament would then turn around and assert the divinity of Jesus >.<

As always, real history is infinitely more interesting than bullshit fantasy history.
