@baconbag nope, it's for damping strings, so they don't make noise when I play ;)
-
is that tape being used as a kapo?

That tape is guerrilla glue to get rid of the excess sloppy ness
-
that was so cool! can you make a video on exactly how you did that?

URAAAGHH!! I want a tab!!

@HUNDuffman Yes you are right...you ll mute three strings the lower ones(i mean the Low E A and D) and the others you ll mute them with the underside of your index finger.Your index finger ll also be muting the above string with its tip.Basically its what we call "the hole"..it means the only note that rings is the one you are playing the rest are muted..if you want ill make a video about it....to explain.
-
@Dreamdancer11 Well for some reason I can only mute three strings at a time with my palm x)
-
@Dreamdancer11 Nice tip! I sometimes use my right hand thumb to mute the strings.
-
@HUNDuffman he uses all his fingers to tap so there isnt anything left to mute. But if you dont do 8 finger tapping you dont need a tape.Just learn to mute properly with both your hands when playing...use the underside of your finger to mute the notes that are below the ones you play..the tip of your finger to mute the string right above the one you play..and the rest...using your palm mute....you should be fine.
