Ron Wakita of Reliable Guide and Charters had an extra seat in his drift boat today and invited me to come along and fish for Chinook (King) Salmon on the Kitimat River. He was guiding Heinz. His daughter Julie also joined us. Heinz was extremely pleased to land this BIG Chinook today. I was happy to take the video and photos.

  • Puting in at Cablecar, nice tyee, tight lines!!!

  • what a fish

  • Mid 30`s nice fice!

  • thats big but not 50 pound big

  • What would be cool would be to let the guy actually land the fish. That's the hard part, and where most guys lose them.

Guess that's why the guide wades out at nets it.....don't want unhappy clients. :)
