@Cryowolf1 The cannon is the most complicated part of the costume. I found a black metal jar from a thrift shop, cut the bottom out with a dremel tool, then wired three mini led flashlights together, which was controlled by a momentary switch. I then cut a piece of tupperware into a circle, then burned a hole in the center (because it was too brittle to cut) using a circular piece of metal I had laying around that I heated up on the stove.

@Cryowolf1 I made the boots by getting a few sheets of foam and bending them into cones, then hotgluing them, and then hotgluing the blue fabric onto them. (They are actually two pieces, one is the "foot" piece, which is hotglued to a flip-flop, and then there's the bigger piece that goes over it and just holds onto my calf). The briefs were just some briefs I bought from Walmart.

@Cryowolf1 I got the unitard from a costume shop called Lucy In Disguise. I made the helmet by getting a baseball helmet and bending the brim with a heat gun, and then cutting it into a "V" with a dremel tool. I then got lucky and found a similar metallic fabric at Hobby Lobby and made the crest and side thingies on the helmet using hot glue, foam, and the shiny metallic fabric. I made the gloves by getting a blue fabric and hotgluing a few pieces to a hockey glove.
so im curious as to how you went about this? Where did you get the metallic spandex and other pieces? (boots, briefs, gloves)

@Cryowolf1 I then hotglued a foam gun to the hole (search amazon for "pop ballz" to find the gun), and cut a little of the foam inside the gun away so that a ping pong ball would fit in it. I then hotglued the seams to reinforce it and ensure no holes would be present later on. I glued the light switch to the "handle" of the gun so that when I pressed it, the light would come on. I glued the blue cloth on the cannon around the window in the side of the cannon, but didnt glue the top of it yet.

@Cryowolf1 I then built a little tray out of some plastic to hold ping pong balls next to the window. I bent it into shape using a heat gun, and hotglued it down. I left the top open so I could insert and remove ping pong balls. I then glued the tupperware top down around the edges, and removed the surround of a taplight and glued it onto the tupperware.

@Cryowolf1 I bought a recordable sound module from Build-A-Bear, then wire a stereo jack directly to the input (for a clearer sound), and recorded the Megaman Mega Buster sound by playing it from my laptop. I then soldered the two extra cables from the gun switch to the module, and removed all the extra plastic, and put the circuit into the top of the gun. I then glued foam into the top so that it would rest easily on my arm. I then glued the top of the fabric down.

@Cryowolf1 For the balls, I cut each with an X-acto knife (making a squared-off 'U' shape was most effective), and then hotglued a superbright white LED to a button battery (CR3032), and then stuck that in the ball, then lightly hotglued the ball shut along the seams of the 'U'. These lasted incredibly about 7 days until becoming too dim to stand out. I made 5...4 went into the side window, and one into the front of the cannon. The foam on the top was enough to stop the balls from sliding out.

@Cryowolf1 Sorry for the verbose replies, but hopefully that's a good explanation. This costume won me a few costume contests :D
