Chapman Stick Solo by Leo Gosselin at an Arizona Arts Festival playing samples of CDs available at www.leogosselin.com Live demonstration of the Chapman Stick Touchboard playing the Latin Jazz standard "Blue Bossa" at an outdoor Arts Festival. Leo performs a variety of material on the Chapman Stick ranging from folk , jazz, latin, new age, The Stick is neither a guitar or a bass but it has aspects of both as well as drum technique and keyboard concepts. Some of Leo's favorite artists are Chick Corea, Al Dimeola, Govi, Novo Menco, Luis Bonfa, Jobim, Eric Clapton, Sting, Tony Levin, Bob Culbertson, Willie Nelson, Chet Atkins, Leo Kottke, Mark Knoffler, Dave Brubeck and Jeff Beck. Leo has performed on radio , television , live in concert, and has performed for the Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales in 1996. He has six CDs available through 'CD Baby' and www.leogosselin.com He has performed on the same bill as Tuck and Patty and the Eric Marienthal Group. He has performed in several states including California, Oregon, Washington, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Idaho, Illinois, Missouri, as well as Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Winnipeg, Seattle, Santa Fe, and Sedona. Leo has been working with the Chapman Stick Touchboard for thirty years and is currently working on Spanish and Mexican folklore as well as Argentinian tangos by Astor Piazzolla.

  • This is without a doubt one of the best musical performances I've seen in a long run! (and mind you, I've just seen Eric Clapton last week...). Been playing to this piece for 4 times now and it's just freakin toad-ally awesome! ~Julian

  • This guy is the best! I love that he does his pieces without looping the bass...all true two-handed technique. He's got a number of CD's out.
