Yep...that's what its like. Someone mentioned it didn't look like he was giving it full throttle, or that he hit 5th gear... which I dont' think he did either one... Thing is, its like a rocket-ship, and in the few times I've taken my 1800 up to the hundred MPH mark, its such a rush, even though the bike just sails, Its still intense as the earth passes by incredibly fast, as the ride is mysteriously smooth. Excellent motorcycles..nothing like them.

If I had one, I would open it up all the time, just to listen to that fabulous flat-six. They sound gorgeous at 6000 rpm. I've always never doubted the Goldwing 1800 could move with its masses of torque. A bike I'll never be able to afford.

I never doubted the GoldWing, just the fact of how heavy/bulky it is and how most riders can't handle it.

There are some who can (I just watched a video of a knee dragging Winger for God's sake).

@06cliff what's wrong with the gsxr? It shouldn't even be a contest on acceleration. The gix ought leave the wing in the dust.
