Surprisingly, it felt pretty sturdy. Didn't feel like it would break easily. I'll post pics that shows the mechanism @TPCreview forum.

I think I prefer the "old" convertible form factor, or at least what dell did with their convertible netbook....that looks like something that would get broken easily
