  • That's fantastic Paul, thank you for sharing this, Norm.

  • @drummingriffin Thank you Norm,Im glad you found it enjoyable. Did you spot the very young Mr Paul as a paige boy... ha ha

The church is still there and so is the Police station in the back ground. Nothing has changed too much looking back. :-)

  • awww, I was married here in June 2011 ... this is lovely

  • @JackieandAdrian Wow! Congratulations, hope your day went well, and that in many many years time, you too will be looking back on your day just like this... :-)

    Thanks for watching

  • This video really is fantastic, it is great that it is up here for all of us to see!

  • @GogglePlex101 Yep thats the idea, shame to keep it hidden away in some dark cupboard, and the older it gets, the more appeal it will probably have too...

    Thanks for watching :-)

  • @Katothemato Sorry to hear that. The music in this film was added by the chap who transferred them to DVD, and can make me feel melancholy at the best of times, so if you have had a drink on top, it must be a whole lot worse.

Any way Im glad others are getting a chance to see some priceless sixties cine footage, that has to be very good thing, Try and keep strong. :-)

    Thanks for commenting.

  • I was wrong about my Mom and Dad getting married there. In my defence, it was the first anniversary of my Dad's death yesterday and I was a bit pissed, emotional, and clearly not remembering their photos showing the very solid old doors of St Peter's! I shared this clip on ym facebook page and have had some nice comments. :-)

  • @Katothemato Thanks for your nice comments - The man getting married is my uncle, he's still alive and living in Brownhills now. He isn't posh by any means and he got into a big debt when he bought this fancy camera equipment from a catalogue back in the mid sixties. Im so glad he did looking back, the footage is priceless to me ( the page boy ) After many years of pestering him, I got the cine film put onto DVD, hence what you see here now. Im hoping many people can now view this via YouTube...

  • Thanks for sharing this. It was lovely to watch. I was baptised at St Pat's in early 1967 and my Mom and Dad were married there in 1964. I wish my family had been "posh" enough to have a cine-camera; we have so few photos to look back on. If you haven't already done so, maybe get in touch with Stuart Williams at the Local History Museum. Beautiful material like this needs to be preserved and shared.
