As the nation reels from typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng and braces for the next, all eyes are on the man on top of the countrys disaster response and preparedness program—Defense Secretary Gilberto Gibo Teodoro. Low-key until he was pushed to center stage by circumstances, Gibo is
poised to run for president under the administration ticket.

This Wednesday on Probe Profiles, host Cheche Lazaro introduces Gibo to viewers for the second installment of the programs series on people we should know for 2010. She reviews with the defense secretary his personal and professional background; his track record in school, in Congress, and in the Cabinet; and his views on politics and governance that all shape the kind of leadership that Gibo could offer Filipinos.

Lazaro talks to Rep. Nikki Prieto-Teodoro, the commercial
model-turned-politician wife of Gibo, and Dean Antonio La Viña of the Ateneo School of Government, a friend and classmate in law school of the defense secretary, for a more complete picture of the expected administration bet.

@bobosierap With Ondoy, since he is not God, he cannot prevent it. But he did not pass the test! He looked like a scared, wet cat in front of the cameras during the disaster. And as head of NDCC, we could have been more prepared for disasters. Sadly, under his leadership, the NDCC was not. It was BF BAYANI, who was prepared.
