The people at WeForest.org asked Pinky to do a guest voice over for their video. The video was produced by their organization to use at the United Nations Climate Change Conference Copenhagen (a.k.a. COP15, 2009), to help focus attention to the potential benefits of reforestation using permaculture techniques to fight climate change. Please see Willie Smits TED Conference presentation (just 20 minutes long, it'll probably blow your mind) for an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vfuCPFb8wk

  • i love pinky's voice. Good work on your videos!!!. I agree on reforestation but have to disagree on global warming.

  • Why do I have to go to the pinky show to hear about this program. It should be in the Democratic platform and Obama should be including it in his speeches. Sounds so obvious and unthreatening.

  • really good for awareness

  • nice job!!!

  • 8 world leaders dislike this.

  • lol i know earth been though worse, i know i should feel empathy for our race but i don't.

Reading history/learning about it is a let down that humanity did all this. Sorta gave up on us and right now feel confuse.

  • if it was translated or at least subtitled it could reach more people :( because it's a really good video and easy to understand

  • @KKKSuperFan

A KKK who writes that? Odd...

  • @SabahForestUtan

Indeed. I was just pointing out their relation to CO2 and stuff. I don't want to preserve the rainforest for the sake of it reducing the amount of climate gases, but for the sake of preserving the forest alone and all that comes with it.

  • @libbern Northern temperate forests rely on the seasons for regeneration. the winter season is a time for the forest to conserve energy for future growth. tropical rainforests do not have these climactic mechanisms and actually rely on constant warmth and humidity and rain forest trees actually trigger the rain to fall. tropical forests are being replaced by plantations for bio-fuel and not being allowed to regenerate unlike its northern forest counterparts..
