I've got a 1984 Volvo 240 dl station wagon [the head gasket of which has blown and been replaced, has been rear-ended, had water in its gas, has had no overdrive, etc.] that was REJECTED by the Cash for Clunkers c*cksuckers because IT WAS TOO OLD. TAKE THAT MOTHERF*CKING CAR KILLERS!!!!!!!!!!! And I drive it Monday-Friday 25 miles to work and 25 miles back and have for over 15 years!!!!!!!!!!!

Cash For clunkers Killed the Us automotive after market. (by the way, its the biggest industry in america) The days of the $500 dollar car are gone. It was a stupid idea and destroyed alot of good cars. Also it made parts hard to come by for guys like me who rely on junk yards for cheap parts. Cats and Engines are 2 of the most expensive parts for old trucks like mine. Before cash for clunkers these parts were dirt cheap in yards, Now they cant sell engines and cats out those cars...
