@TexazTru separate it from the feeder fish first because they will either harass it or make it sick, then put it it its own tank with shallow water, let the tank be 3/4 or 2/3 shaded give a few hiding places change the water often, an easy way is to take out 1/3 of the water and replace with clean water, use dechlorinated water ONLY! THEY ARE VERY SENSITIVE TO BAD WATER, and feed it boiled lettuce or crushed algae every day or so
i went to pet a shop and they mistakingly give me a tabpole in the bag with the feeder fish i bought.. umm how do i care care of it?? it is really small in size.
@Zacattackzak leopard frog tadpoles are a lot smaller than bullfrog tads. This one is definitely a bully tad. I've raised several myself and they all looked like this.
Even after the tad morphs into a frog, the bullfrog juvenile has spots for a while.
@webcasey1 no, this is definitely a bull frog tadpole. I've raised bully tads several times. Even after they morph into frogs, the juveniles continue to have spots for a while too. Then, as they grow, the spots generally go away. As someone else on here commented, its camoflauge for them to protect them. As tadpoles and young, small frogs, they are an easy source of food for many animals.
