Whelen Vortex R4 - Byron, GA

Weekly noon test of the outdoor warning sirens in Peach County, in two 30-second activations of the ALERT signal. This is the solar-powered Whelen Vortex R4 located at an industrial storage facility, next to the Lafarge concrete plant, on Hwy 49 in Byron. This is the northernmost siren in the system, and is in an area where Peach, Houston, and Bibb counties all meet. On a side note, there is a Whelen WPS-2909 about 1mi NE (Houston County) of here, and a 2001AC about 1.2mi NW (Bibb County).

@SSAirsoftowns Not really, we have a mild climate lol. They need to just go ahead and replace it sometime soon though, because as it stands right now, that's Byron's only siren in the actual city limits. Since it has quit working, they no longer have any warning inside the city.

A lot of times when I go to Meijers and I am at the checkout area, I notice that the cash registers make this kind of noise. Its really weird.

@lildil39485 About a month ago now I guess. Why they do that I have no idea, but I know that during the break in between, they're silent testing them to make them send a status feedback from each individual site. Because of this, the 500 is technically out of service for right now until they can get everything straightened out for it activation-wise.
