Bach Aria from the Goldberg Variations part 1

Alex playing the first part of the Aria from the Goldberg Variations on a Kawai piano at the University of Warwick.

My interpretation is heavily based on Gould's 1981 recording, but of course I lack his brilliant, crisp and emotive playing.

I like this piece played slowly much more than Glenn Gould played it in the recording of the Goldberg Variations, I own.

Although here are too much background noises, your play is very good.

Here's another pointer for you... I think your left hand is too loud in general (in the harmony notes). The bass can be louder but then those notes which fill in the harmony should be barely perceptible. This will allow the piece to work better at your tempo, as well. Also I should warn you that the piece can work at this slow a tempo but it is difficult to pull off convincingly, as each note has gotta have perfect control. Anyway hope I was helpful and not just annoying.
