Rig Down
Petrohawk operated by Nabors #409 Rig, KCS, Tri-State Realty 28 #2 Well, Serial #238771, S28-T19N-R14W
To the best of my ability without being with the cam during 95% of the event, this time lapse video shows much of the "Rig Down" process. Dwarfed by the size of the Haynesville Shale, rigs are moved as quickly as possible to the next location. It took Petrohawk about three days to remove the rig but they encountered heavy rains midway. The rain also killed power to my camera. The widest shot was set up overnight in complete darkness. With no light from the rig and an overcast for days I had to guess the position.
I could not have shot this video without the help of the generous family that has Petrohawk as a backdoor neighbor. I used their power for the cam and had a valuable heads up tip that Nabors Drilling was pulling pipe.
I used music I edited by DAVE FULTON & GILES REAVES from "THE RANGE - Feeling Hopelessly Drawn"
Shot on the HVX200AP 720p using a combination of timelapse and undercranking with 2fps. I appreciate your comments.
