Don DeBar discusses the implications of a NATO attack today on the former Yugoslavia. NATO troops in northern Kosovo fired tear gas to disperse a crowd of local Serbs resisting the dismantling of a barricade near Mitrovitsa. Local media report several people have been injured. Tensions in Northern Kosovo have been on the rise for months over disputed border crossings. The government of the breakaway province wants to control the border with Serbia to enforce an import ban -- resisted by local Serbs. Kosovo proclaimed independence in 2008, however Serbia never recognized the breakaway move.
