Got some 100W Long Range KC HiLites for my Jeep. I can't wait to go off-roading with them :) Here's some pictures of the installation.

  • ok i have a question do you have to drill out the hole at 0:26 for the wires to go through or when you take out the bolt its already dilled through?

  • @XxMorgueofDeathXx We drilled in through the hole for the bolt into the interior. Then we ran the wires through the dash to the switch.

  • you would have thought that jeep co would have thought about that i guess thats why i have a auto lol

  • @XxMorgueofDeathXx It isn't too bad. It only happens if I have to slam it in first really fast, like if I don't notice a green light and have to start moving quickly.

  • ok because mine for some reason dosent pop off i think you have to un screw 2 screws behind the ash tray but idk i might go with just drilling a hole and placing the switch there because it might get in the way of the gear shift but thanks anyways

  • @XxMorgueofDeathXx Oh yeah, it does get in the way if I'm shifting into first gear (mine is on the far left switch panel). There have been multiple instances where I have bumped them and turned them on without realizing it. Luckily, there weren't any cops nearby since it's a $100 fine for using these on the roadway.

  • @XxMorgueofDeathXx On my 05 TJ, the entire front panel of the dashboard popped off. I think the top panel (wear the window defroster vent is) had to be partially popped off to do this. There is a rubber grommet in the firewall I usually go through, right behind the brake lines in the engine compartment (a screw driver can be used to wedge it open). We just spliced the power and ground into the cig lighter. This is just temporary though since it's not up to spec with the PA vehicle code.

  • ok i have a question i have a 97 tj and i also have the exact same Kc lights can i ask how did you open the light panel on the dash of the Jeep to the right of the ash tray because i dont want to break anything i was wondering if i could just put a switch in there and is there a hole in the fire wall for the wire?

  • @mattbjrs shweet

  • @460fordtruckman Thanks lol. Yeah they are pretty bright. When I first turned them on my dad was standing about 5 feet away from it and he felt the heat from the bulb lol. I don't know when I'll get a chance to go offroading, but when I do I'll make sure to film it with these on.

  • dam you were binding me through the computer wow nice lights
