FF9 Boss Series - #1: Plant Brain

You knew it had to be coming eventually, right?

Final Fantasy 9 is, admittedly, a rank above FF4 in terms of the best FF game ever made (IMO, anyway). 4 may still be my all-time favorite, but for some reason it tends to share that pinnacle off and on with 9. There's just something about 9 that makes it wondrous...the mix of nostalgia, classic elements and the mind blowing story...you can't help but love 9.

Yet most people don't, and I don't understand those people. If you don't even LIKE 9, something's wrong with you.

The first person to shout "FF7 is better than FF9" will summarily never be able to post a comment again -.-

Anyway! First boss, the Plant Brain. Not hard...and I even walked away with an Iron Helm!

FF9 was my 7th FF,played it after FFTA,VI,IV,VIII,VII and Crystal Chronicles,and it's my prefered. V,VI,VII and XII comes real close to it. (played X,V,XII,FFT, I ,III and II after it). Dont think the rest of them are really THAT great like my favorites,but they a lot above average for sure.

Just can't like II though.

But I can understand your dislike of II. It's a difficult game to enjoy and get into, because it's so radically different than every other RPG ever made. It's a chore to enjoy, that's for sure.

I have never given FF9 a chance, but I will after seeing this. I guess, that with all the things I could miss, I was put off. That and the card game for this.

Tetra Master is a side option...you don't need to do it to complete the game. Though, it is rather fun to play sometimes, I just don't get it myself.

Apparently you can play it online in FFXI, which I SUPPOSE adds something to it...but still, bleh.

Nine is my favorite because the characters are all so likable. Hardly any angst to be found compared to the other games in the series.

I enjoy FF9 greatly, but then, I have nothing against FF1-FF10. It's all a matter of preferences.

It's not my favorite, but I feel that IX is vastly under-rated. And the first disc or so is EPIC, very well paced.

since each FF game has its' own styles of leveling up, learning skills and using magic i sorta picked out my favourites (though i havent played the whole series)

I got this game's above styles and enjoyed playing it, mbe some day i'll buy a copy where the 2nd disk works and a new power cable for my old PS2 and complete it

Oh I love This Game !! Its my favorite and the first ff that i ever played .. But ill be honest i love ff12 too but i dont know how to instal ps2 emulator :`(

FF9 was my first and THE BEST final fantasy game. Finally, a kindred spirit.
