This video goes into the kettle stitch in detail and shows how to tie the binder's knot inside the book when your thread gets to its end. It also shows how to finish sewing the volume.

There are other videos to follow that will go into adding end papers and lining the spine.

If you have questions, it's best to get me through my regular email at my main website; SageReynolds.com I also have a blog and a Facebook page.

  • I always used a template and punched the holes in the signatures at one go. Your method shows me that the signatures will line up more precisely if I punch the holes relative to the signature immediately below it.

  • Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge of bookbinding with us.

Excellent video. Thanks for the close up with the binders knot....I've been doing mine wrong but now I see how they are meant to be done.

Great to hear you have more video's planned.

    Best wishes
