COMMUNISTS! You mean your govt. had to spend a bunch of money (borrowed from the federal reserve banks, good for the bankers) to follow the guidelines of another branch of govt. and everybody involved including the "contractors" bring home gubment checks..... My house is far beyond LEED, why waste the money getting a label put on it? Anybody in support of LEED/USGBC/EPA or any BS reason for the feds to have some control over us, can go fuck their communist selves.

I agree with CoachGP too, HUGE kudos to NASA and LPA! I have long thought that once the costs for a green building were similar to traditional construction that the movement would gain more momentum and acceptance.

These innovations will lead the way in changing how we consume and conserve energy and how we can all make a difference!

I really liked how LPA president mentioned that, too, CoachGP - how construction costs for a green building are the same for a regular building; it's all about allocation decisions made at the leadership level. NASA's on board, LPA's leading the way; what a great head start for you guys!

It's truly amazing to hear that we can now build such energy efficiency into new construction for NO MORE costs than the old models. I clicked on the link in the description to read all about the innovations from LPA.

Huge kudos to NASA, to LPA and to all that is next in your movement. I can see these best practices becoming the standard for all new construction. How hopeful to think of our energy shortages one day being a thing of the past!
