@SafffOneee actually your definition of a sport is a bit off. The only real difference between a sport and a game is a written down set of rules that provide competition and allow for a winner. Sorry to say this is a sport. I do not believe video game playing is a sport either, but stadiums in Korea and $100,000s in prize money make it a more popular sport than most professional traditional sports. Aka bowling.

@SafffOneee You now found a goal in life, convincing all the hunters, golfers, drag racers etc... Good luck and have a good one.

@GoRacingWantagh Lol, I just saw the episode and looked this up. And say your comment!

@GoRacingWantagh I just watched that 2 minutes ago. I've seen nitro cars before, but never tether cars. Very cool. Especially because I'm a small engines mechanic.

@GoRacingWantagh not getting laid
-
Catch that with you hand!
-
these thing are so cool and I've always wanted one from ebay especially the chassis, and the propeller one and the broom is to stop the tether car
-
@GoRacingWantagh It's still just a hobby. A competitive hobby nonetheless.
-
Man, I hate it when people enjoy themselves, too.
There will be an episode on A&E's Storage Wars where Barry Weiss finds a tether car in a storage unit. It should be aired a week from Thanksgiving Day 10pm eastern, but check your local listings

@nightfire2255678 so what would you call a competitive pursuit of some of the worlds top engineering minds?

@GoRacingWantagh A competition. A sport is defined as a competitive PHYSICAL activity, and a personal lack of appreciation for watching a car go round in circles aside, there is no real human input that affects the outcome of the race once the race has started. Even drag racing has drivers accelerating, lightly steering and braking. Not that I don't think radio controlled cars are lame either but why anyone would prefer this to even that is beyond me.

@SafffOneee These cars are custom built. You can't walk into Wal-Mart and buy one. It takes a tremendous amount of engineering skill and patience to build and race one of these cars competitively.

whats the point of the guy with the broom?
sailorkid94 2 years ago 3
@sailorkid94 there is a small lever at the top of the car that cuts off the fuel. The broom is used to trip the lever without damaging the car
