http://www.benchpressmistakes.com AJ Roberts of Westside Barbell benching 455lbs, 495lbs and 545lbs off foam board for max effort bench press training.

The purpose of the foam is to slow down the barbell and make the bench press harder off the chest. This works on developing your lower end explosive strength and is a great exercise for anyone who struggles in the bottom of the bench press.

  • Hey bud, where do you guys get the foam for this press? I tried Lowe's and a craft store and have turned up nothing so far. Thanks

  • No idea. Louie might sell it on his site

  • wow great job

  • So you're saying that you do more in the bench than you do with the foam? I would think that the foam actually helped at the bottom not making it harder.
