I know the comments about WiFi are a year old but it's reassuring to know there's no problems! I'm installing Ubuntu 11.04 to my Wind as we speak :)

Oh I see. I just installed the netbook remix of 9.04, very slick interface with minimal usage of the mouse (tab and arrow keys work very intuitively, plus great if you did the touchscreen mod).

did you install the slimmed down netbook version of Ubuntu for your Wind? if so, did you encounter any bugs? i want to get my Wind U100 on it, but i heard Ubuntu has been killing the wifi.

The boot messages aren't hidden like in a regular install of ubuntu?

were hidden. I changed the file / boot / grub / menu.lst to see
