    There used to be an app on the apple AppStore that was called zumocast. It got bought up by Motorola and was removed. I fucking loved that app. It let you turn your desktop into a server and it would transcode any media file to be streamed and played off your iPhone. Tons of imitators are still there though. But zumocast was the first.
