Iran's envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) says all of the country's nuclear activities are under the supervision of the world atomic body.

Ali Asghar Soltanieh says the enrichment work at Iran's new uranium enrichment site Fordo, which is located near the city of Qom, as well as the work being done at the Natanz enrichment facility are no exceptions.

Soltanieh's comments came after some Western sources reported the beginning of Iran's enrichment activities in Fordo, claiming that the work is being done without informing the IAEA. Western countries including the US have called on Iran to stop uranium enrichment. Iran says it has the right to enrich uranium as a signatory to the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

Press TV has conducted an interview with Iran's Ambassador to the IAEA, Ali Asghar Soltanieh, about the issue.

  • When the time comes, we will all know the truth. Written history explains pretty much the usual behavior of different cultures/nations. How do you feel about their usual behavior? Eh yeah.
