Float On vs. Show Goes On

What? Are you guys really making this about which artist is better? They're two different styles. In my opinion, both are great. Hip hop uses beats and mixes to make their music and it's always been like that. Kanye used some Aphex Twin, Jay-Z used The Doors, hell Immortal Technique used a song from Pinocchio. It's all good fuckers.

For all those who say hip hop is stupid, please educate yourselves. Hip hop itself began sometime in the 1970's when DJ's began creating rhythmic beats by looping breaks (aka sampling...how about that). It became a lifestyle because it gave minorities a voice through all the oppression. Of course many of us can't relate to it, most of us are lucky and privileged. Hell, we're on a computer. Give hip hop a chance, listen to the lyrics, understand the story, Tupac - Changes... nuff said.

Modest is origional but lupe put more technicality into
-
Modest Mouse came up with it. Lupe just ruined it. Modest Mouse is so much better. I;m in love with Float on. The Show Goes on is crap. Modest Mouse is so much more meaningful, catchy and sounds better all around.

Lupe came to my school and he was a complete ass hole by the way, so he may not sing about drugs and hoes but he is still an arrogant prick.
-
I almost spat out my drink, definitely one of the funniest unintentional mistakes I've ever read. The fact that it's repeated again (coupled with the chastising tone of his words) is just icing on the cake.

@DavidGilss don't hate on lupe for it? seriously? if this artist had any respect for his own music and creating melodies for people than he wouldn't agree to do the song. simple as that.

@JerseyBatth I also found it on Rock Band 2!!

Ok. First of all Just so you know I was previously an avid listener of rock, but I have moved on to hip hop. Lupe Fiasco hated this song, he literally HATED IT. The record company forced it upon him and even wrote it for him. Lupe is not a rapper that only talks about money weed and hoes. He doesn't even smoke weed and his songs are very relatable. I have listened to both songs and enjoy them both, but don't hate on lupe for it. He didn't even want it produced.
