Prototype This: Personal Airbag testing

Behind the scenes of Discovery Channel's Prototype This from the Wearable Airbag episode. This project was designed to prevent someone from serious injury at a fall of thirty feet. The system used a custom electronic system consisting of a Freescale microprocessor and accelerometer to detect freefall, which triggered a series of solenoids and valves to quickly dump compressed air into the bags.
