  • Burn My Eyes is the best MH album.

The Blackening SO, SO, close but i just loved Robb's vocals (and guitar sound) on BME

  • its not just a MH great album, its a great album for metal music in general, one of the albums that were needed for metal music to go on and keep flourishing

  • @9evilnine9 Their first album was Primitive Origins, pure NY hardcore. People might think it's rare but I think you can buy the MP3s from Amazon. I haven't heard Prong's new stuff but I've seen some good reviews.

  • man if the came to america more often, i would fucking buy the fist seat!!

    MACHINE HEAD COME TO MN!!!

  • @jsntos1 I was 4 in 94 but you just listed all my favourite albums almost bar pig destroyer and some other shit. Your damn right man, demanufacture and burn my eyes has this deep grit on it you just don't get anymore.

  • 94/95 were the best years in the old metal/hc days, i remember killer records like Burn My Eyes, Demanufacture, World Demise, River Runs Red, Set It Off, State Of The World Address, Far Beyond Driven....Even Dynano 95 was the best dynamo of all time....god damn, i was in highschool, those were the best times of my life. Metal today doens't have anymore the same feeling....

  • The Blackening, Burn My Eyes, Through The Ashes are masterpieces... The More Things Change and The Burning Red great albums...

  • Machine Head dont have a 100% bad album imo, even the shitty Superccharger had some of their best songs like Deafening Silence and Only The Names, sure its different than their other stuff, but all of their albums had something different, thats one of the things i like about them, they keep their roots but still manage to produce fresh things within the boundaries of their genre.

And nu-metal came from groove metal, the whole riffing style is similar except simpilified

  • @lamentate07 The early 90's saw some great music from veteran bands as well Slayer Seasons in The Abyss/Divine Intervention 1990/1994 Anthrax Persistance of Time 1990, Testament Souls of Black/The Ritual/Low 1990/1992/1994 Megadeth Rust in Peace/Countdown to Extinction 1990/1992 and Metallica's self titled album AKA the black album, sadly Metallica went in a direction I could not follow with Load, and one of the best metal albums of the 90's Judas Priest Painkiller 1990!

  • @lamentate07 My intentionwas not to dis PRONG I liked PRONG at least the first 4 records Force Fed, Beg to Differ, Prove You Wrong and Cleansing, Rude Awakening really went south for me and I couldn't understand the direction that Victor was heading in, no problems with Prong I just don't believe they were the same caliber as Pantera Machine Head or Sepultura (Max Cavalera is the angriest man in metal) No offense but I never liked Biohazard or Pro-Pain just not my thing I guess!

  • Having "guidlines" to music like what makes something Nu Metal vs. Old school metal is something critics need to do but NOT fans. If it sounds good to you,it IS! Christ people are stupid!

  • @lamentate07 Thank you. It's not Nu-Metal.

And yes you can tell it because that's the first album Robb began his deep 'ROOOOAAAAAhhh' and shouts at the beginning of almost every song and the beginning of riffs like on 'Blistering' and 'Struck A Nerve' on the album and it's now a signature vocal style that Robb made himself.
