@mycamguy I imagine the main thing that changed is the feel of the movie. The actors are different, the audience is different, the new version has colour in it, so it basically changes the entire atmosphere of the movie. Regardless of the director, the fact that the audience changed means he has to adapt the movie, which (if you liked the original), might mean the new one will not be to your taste.

@noshni That kind of figures. Former Communist countries have awesome obscure cinema... it kind of figures, a lot of cities look pretty haunted. Just take Ostbahnhof and Ostkreuz in Berlin for example.
