Fake! The phonebooks are cut. When he "rips" them, the edges are a perfect cut, not torn like they would have been if he really did it.

@mohseneman if you look closely he "V"s the book, which some call a technique, i call it a cheat. watch how dennis rogers tears it, the book is flat on both sides, this guy puts a huge "V" in it, so that the top cover is flat, and the bottom cover bends down

Its funny how most of you are claiming he is doing this because he's "strong," yet if you watch the video his muscles are barely working at all, meaning if you actually put all your strength in it, followed the technique ( as he does and as is shown in other videos), you should be able to do it.
