Welcome back to ProGuitarShop, this is the 3 Monkeys Virgil Limited Edition Head. Virgil is based on an amp originally built by the 3 Monkeys gang for Brad Whitford of Aerosmith in 2006. It puts out 30 watts from a quad of 6V6 power tubes, and features a "UK / USA" voicing switch that takes it from the rich midrange gut-punch of classic British amps, to the slightly scooped, sparkling tone of 60's American amplifiers. It also features a footswitchable boost control, perfect for solos or meaty riffage. This 3 Monkeys Virgil is hand-built in Raleigh, North Carolina, and is #14 of a limited un of 25 heads. - http://proguitarshop.com/store/3-monkeys-amplifiers-c-706/3-monkeys-virgil-li...

  • the best overdrive tones usually come from the amp itself! if its an amp like this that is ahaha

  • Did you guys use a 3 monkeys in the old PGS intro song?

  • I don't mean this to be overly critical but I think playing with a pick would add a bit more high end attack to the sound. I don't think a finger player is necessarily the best representation for any amplifier. For the record, I am a huge fan of Jeff Beck, Richie Kotzen and Lance Keltner so I don't have a problem with people who don't use a pick. The tone just isn't the same.

  • Animal.

  • man that sounds good! hubba hubba on the 3 monkeys yo!

  • @ubdejones1 'ts called "In My Time of Dying"

  • what's the name of that led zeppelin song with the slide?

  • @anarazi Andy never uses a pick. It is frequently discussed on other video's comments.

  • "In My Time of Dying", I love that song.
