On "Goodnight Old World," which she co-wrote with Will Jennings, Harris fashions a bittersweet lullaby to her newly born grandchild, contrasting a grown-up's world-weariness with a baby's wide-eyed wonder.

This song breaks my heart in the best way... I've always been more of a rocker, but as I've gotten older my palette has broadened considerably. I was always into classical music, but I dismissed country artists, but Emmylou obviously transcends the typical boundaries of c&w. She is truly a singer-songwriter. This is achingly beautiful music. I bought the deluxe cd/dvd and spent a good hour listening and crying as it unfolded.

I'm up late, just watched this on Wide Open Country on CMT; what a gorgeous piece of music. so haunting & soothing... wow. i've always heard of her, but never her music, & i love this & i'm mainly a hard rock & metal guy. love this, this is awesome, keep them coming!
